Abstract

This article is part of an approach for adapting solutions proposed during the health crisis for use in a post-COVID-19 context. To ensure educational continuity for the teaching of English during the COVID-19 pandemic, we proposed the migration of our recommended smart tutor to a value-added service (VAS) embedded in the 3G network of a telecommunications operator. This solution was tested with a sample of students organized into three experimental groups. The results show that the students using the VAS learning method, i.e., utilizing the smart tutor in their learning, have progressed sufficiently in terms of their scores. However, their average progress is not significantly different from that of students using the traditional learning method.
