Abstract

The research focuses on the impact of an augmented reality application, Tech-Bourse AR, on the performance and attitude of students with regard to this educational technology. The experience consisted of enriching our course support in stock market techniques with educational resources in the form of multimedia tools using augmented reality software (HP Reveal). This technique allows, using a smartphone, to provide relevant information making the course accessible and more interactive. To demonstrate the impact of this technology on learners, we used a quasi-experimental approach to test the performance of learners according to three objectives of cognitive learning (knowledge, understanding and analysis) using experimental and control groups, and a questionnaire which sought to measure the attitudes of the learners towards the technique of augmented reality both on a personal level and towards its pedagogical use. Research has shown that there is a marked improvement in the performance of learners as well as a positive trend in their attitudes towards the use of this educational technology and has recommended its extension to other courses.
