Abstract

The global health crisis of COVID-19 has struck at the usual way French universities operate. Within a few weeks, teachers working at the university had to use digital communication tools that were still unknown to some of them. This clash between digital technology and university pedagogy is not without raising many questions, one of which, central in our eyes, was not asked: what ethics should be used to choose the appropriate digital tools for the pedagogical objectives pursued? We would like to ask this question here for university teachers and to propose ways of thinking for an ethical conception that is at once professional, democratic and focused on attention.
